Today we hear from Interiors Stylist, Kerrie-Ann Jones on the latest trends to warm your heart as the temperature tumbles.
There are some beautiful Autumn and Winter colour trends I’m seeing and also using for my own styling. Earthy and honest hues can work harmoniously with other trend colours or on their own to compliment a neutral scheme. Let me share with you a few colour trends coming through this season.
Clay tones have a strong presence in fashion and interiors this year. From rich red-browns to soft pinky-orange terracotta hues, this trend crosses the boundaries showing itself in fine art photography too. Photographers Dan Hocking and Chris Warnes have both photographed beautiful sand dunes and clay mountains as part of their individual art series with Otomys, www.otomys.com.
From olive green to deep mossy tones, these shades of green are becoming a staple interiors base colour. We are seeing these colours used mostly with cushion, throws, bedlinen and wall paint colours. Its a beautiful complimentary colour to a neutral scheme. If you aren't willing to take the plunge and change up your wall colour, add your mossy enhancement by embracing planted greenery.
TAN AND GREY
Tan leather is huge at the moment! However, the colour itself paired with a soft grey is a beautiful match made in colour heaven. Grey walls and a tan leather bench, yes please! This colour combo works perfectly for anyone looking to style your own Scandi inspired interior.
